This image shows the splitted coma of the periodic comet
51P Harrington taken the january 12th 2002.

The distance of the comet from the sun was 2.6 AU
and the distance from the earth was 1.7 AU.

The luminosity was about 17 mag.

The field of view is about 13 x 13 arcminutes and
the enlarged part about 4 x 4 arcminutes.
North is up. East is left.
